Programming Positions:
Would you like to share your musical interests with Lincoln? Do you have a knack for entertaining all of your friends? Are you able to carry on an intriguing conversation with the leaders of our community? If so, consider becoming a KZUM programmer! KZUM is currently accepting applications for new music and talk programs. Applicants must commit to producing a weekly KZUM program, as well as additional service hours for the station. KZUM programmers are a dedicated and knowledgeable group of individuals who range from 17 to 77 years old. Production Volunteer or Intern Positions:
Pre-Production:
KZUM, Lincoln’s Community Radio Station, is accepting applications for a PRE-PRODUCTION ASSISTANT volunteer/intern. The Production Assistant would be responsible for writing and recording public service announcements, station promos, underwriting announcements, and other spots for use on air.
This position requires individuals to have an equal knowledge of technology, writing, and organizational skills. The assistant will use both Mac and PC platforms, and software packages Adobe Audition, Audacity, and Garage Band. Some experience in this area is required OR a powerful desire to learn them quickly.

Program Production:
KZUM, Lincoln’s Community Radio Station, is accepting applications for a PROGRAM PRODUCTION ASSISTANT volunteer/intern. The Program Production Assistant will aid talk show hosts in the operation of studio equipment during show time, record and edit the program for podcast, and help in the preparation of the show. We have multiple opportunities available, so the time commitment is flexible.
This position requires analytical thinking and knowledge of technology. In radio, every second counts, so candidates must be able to meet deadlines and handle stress.

KZUM welcomes high school students and community members who wish to volunteer at the station; KZUM can always use more help! The station does ask that our volunteers make these considerations:

-Give notice when you no longer wish to volunteer
